Freemasonry, being the oldest and largest fraternal organisation and the Grand Lodge of Cyprus being the fraternal body of the Islands’ freemasons, takes pride in its existence, and prides in its members’ involvement in shaping our Nation.

Men have been drawn to our Fraternity because freedom, equality, respect, religious tolerance, charity and a belief in a Supreme Being and immortality of the soul have been the cornerstones of our existence. Men of such calibre have made a mark on our societies and still do. The continuous need to face the challenges in today’s world in a moral, ethical way is as important now as it was three hundred years ago. 

Freemasonry is more than an organisation to which you can say you belong to. It is a choice to a way of life. There are many different associated organisations which come under the umbrella of Freemasonry, each having a special appeal, philanthropy and organisational structure; all having a common goal of uniting people of good moral character into a lifelong journey of improvement. The endeavour of freemasons to improve themselves, their families and their communities is the reason Freemasonry remains an essential component of the structure of any stable society.
